Costa Rica concentrates an astonishing share of the world’s biodiversity into one small, welcoming country. Okapi expeditions here move between the northern rainforests of Boca Tapada, the macro-rich lowland forests of Sarapiquí and the cloud forests of San Gerardo de Dota.
The photographic menu ranges from toucans, macaws and tropical tanagers at specialist feeders and hides to red-eyed tree frogs, eyelash vipers and poison dart frogs on night walks — and, in the highlands, the resplendent quetzal among misty oaks.
