Destinations

Okapi works in a deliberately short list of places — destinations chosen for biodiversity, photographic potential and the strength of our local partnerships, not for how easily they fill a brochure. Each one offers a different photographic rhythm: desert structure, wetland behavior, savannah light, volcanic drama.

Zambia

South Luangwa — leopards, walking safaris and Africa at its most authentic.

Madagascar

Lemurs, baobabs and chameleons — an island of species that exist nowhere else.

Colombia

The most bird-rich country on Earth — cloud forests, coffee culture and the Colombian Andes.

Kenya

The Maasai Mara — the classic African safari, photographed properly.

Costa Rica

Rainforests, cloud forests and macro life — tropical nature photography at its richest.

Vietnam

Endemic birds, rare primates and living traditions — Southeast Asia's photographic secret.

Choosing where to go

Start from the images you most want to make. Big-cat behavior points to Botswana or Tanzania; graphic landscapes and desert-adapted wildlife point to Namibia; volcanic landscape work points to the Philippines. Season matters as much as place — and that conversation is exactly what we are here for.
