Who this expedition is for

Photographers and non-photographing travelers alike — anyone who wants deep, authentic cultural experiences, documentary photography and a relaxed, elegant way to enjoy Vietnam.

The photography experience

This is a documentary and cultural photography expedition — the camera pointed at craft, ritual and daily life rather than wildlife. You photograph traditional incense production in full color, arranged sessions with Vietnamese models in traditional dress, artisans at work — fishing nets, soy production, workshops — and candle ceremonies in the historic temples of Hue. Markets, colonial streets and everyday life fill the frames in between.

The photographic emphasis is on people, story and light: environmental portraiture, a respectful approach, composition in busy scenes and working a location until it gives its best frame. Your leader helps with both technique and the etiquette of photographing people — always with permission and care. Five-star hotels and premium Vietnamese gastronomy round out the days.
